Graphic Mill Website Design and Build

Graphic Mill is an exhibition stand business with a difference: its stands truly push the creative boundaries. Think show-stopping designs, AV walls, interactive games and other creative ideas that really get a product or service noticed.

With the capabilities to handle every part of the process in-house (from design and print through to build, installation, post-installation and even storage), they needed a website that would really drive home these key USPs and drum up client enquiries.

THE BRIEF

Also based in Wiltshire, Graphic Mill approached us in the Autumn of 2019 and asked us to carry out an SEO and PPC review. A lot of opportunities were found and after further discussions it was agreed that a new website would better serve their needs and the needs of their potential customers. A modern and contemporary feel was sought, with a design that clearly showcased their previous projects upfront with plenty of sharp images and iconography. The team wanted the new website copy to work hard alongside design in order to drive up Search Engine Results Page (SERP) ranks, demonstrate their expertise and create a strong user experience.

We needed to show the creative, bespoke nature of the stands they design, as well as clearly highlighting the fact that Graphic Mill can handle the entire process all under one roof.

THE PROCESS

After our initial face-to-face meetings, which allowed us to get under the skin of their business and get to know their team, we went away and put together a production schedule that would mean we could get the website launched by January, in order to start the New Year with a bang!

Following our SEO research phase, we began work on the website copy, which was written from scratch based on our conversations with the Graphic Mill team, incorporating the focus keywords for each page. Once approved, this then fed into the overall website architecture.

Our initial design concepts were well received, with just a few tweaks needed before we rolled it out to the rest of the pages. We kept lots of on-page space so it felt clean and modern, with the use of geometric shapes and their signature turquoise colourways throughout. Then it was onto the build…

THE OUTCOME

The final build – which was delivered on time and on budget – was one both the team here and the team at Graphic Mill were really delighted with. The navigation is easy, the copy punchy and the design sleek and contemporary.

Graphic Mill continues to have a number of enquiries through the contact form on their website, from both the UK and overseas, and the updated monthly case studies ensure the content and imagery remains fresh.
