Conceptual Corporate Video Image

The average attention span for the notoriously ill-focused goldfish is nine seconds. But according to a study backed by technology giant Microsoft, people now generally lose concentration after just eight seconds. That’s eight seconds to grab your audience’s attention and make an impression…no pressure then!

Scientists attribute our inability to focus on an increasingly digitised lifestyle. And there’s no doubt about it: with the rise of the internet and smartphone, we expect our information to be delivered quickly, smartly and, ideally, with a healthy dose of creativity.

It’s no surprise then that corporate video plays an increasingly important role in any digital marketing strategy. Statistics vary, but as a rough guide, viewers are watching on average a billion hours of YouTube clips per day. That’s around 8.4 minutes per day, per human, a trend that is only set to continue. By 2021, it’s predicted that every second, almost 17,000 hours of video content will cross the internet – and if you wanted to watch all that video content, then you’d need to set aside a minimum of two years, just to get through it all.

In our experience, get your video marketing right and you’ll definitely reap the rewards. Over the past few years, we have worked closely with clients on both live action and animated videos, all of which have been designed to build brands and inspire audiences. From story boarding, script writing and content planning, right through to casting, voice-overs, post production and broadcasting, we know how to create stylish videos that engage and captivate their intended audiences.

We know that a well-thought-through and expertly executed animation or live action video can really help bring your product or service to life. We recently produced this animation for global heavy-weight, GP Batteries, a multi-national company and the largest manufacturer of rechargeable batteries in the world. A pioneer in its field, GP Batteries prides itself on bringing innovative and exciting new products to the rechargeables market and this animation formed part of a comprehensive, multi-channel digital marketing launch plan designed to promote the company’s brand new Charge AnyWay USB charger / powerbank.

In addition to the animation, we also created three live action videos and these were broadcast via GP Batteries’ popular social media channels, including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, as well as via its own blog. They were also placed as advertisements on Facebook and YouTube to drive visibility and awareness amongst the target audience. To read more about the GP Batteries Charge AnyWay launch, click here.
